Showcasing large-scale banners, woodcut prints and cardboard puppets, ‘Tanah Tumpah Darah’ celebrates almost three decades of leading Indonesian collective Taring Padi and their ongoing fight for environmental justice, workers’ rights, and democratic freedom. In the lead up to the exhibition, members of Taring Padi will be undertaking a residency and a suite of public programs, including a full day symposium, puppet making workshops and artist talks.
