Catalina Africa graduated from the University of the Philippines with a BFA in Painting in 2012. Catalina is an emerging young artist that redefines one’s perception by way of painting, sculpture, collage and other mixed media to produce ambivalent configurations that unsettle the familiar.

Catalina has completed several artist residencies at 1335 Mabini (Philippines) in 2012, the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture (U.S.) in 2014, and the Baler Artist Village (Philippines) in 2015, while hosting both solo and group exhibits at various galleries.
