Natee Utarit – ‘Déjà Vu: When the Sun Rises in the West’

4 March – 7 May 2022

Art Centre Silpakorn University, Bangkok, Thailand

Art Centre Silpakorn University, in collaboration with Richard Koh Fine Art, presents Thai artist Natee Utarit’s solo exhibition ‘Déjà Vu: When The Sun Rises In The West’ has been re-exhibited in Thailand for many years.

The exhibition ‘Déjà vu: When the Sun Rises in the West’ showcases works in a variety of media formats, full of cultural traces to explore, remix the period and exchanging knowledge from both Eestern and eastern civilizations This exhibition reveals the artist’s mind, reminiscent of the time, to the integration of Western culture and Eastern consciousness.

It is like planting a seed of possibility with the question of ‘what will happen if the sun rises in the West’? With ordinary aspects from this different culture, this makes this exhibition like a silk thread that the artist has woven together to create another aspect of the West and the East completely.

With guest Curator: Loredana Pazzini-Paracciani.
